This remarkably polished newcomer raises the raw intensity of traditional yet intense house music. Born in the distinctively Puerto Rican neighborhood of Lincoln Park Chicago, Ricardo Ray Miranda was
named after famous Nuyorican salsero Ricardo Ray of the 1960's. After major Puerto Rican displacement (urban renewal) Ricardo's parents settled in the Noble Square section of West Town for many years. As the jack jack eighties arrived House music became part of the
fabric of who Ricardo was and still is.
Devoting himself to the mastery of house music Ricardo began to
study earnestly with intensive practice day and night. Being away, the decision was made to journey back to the home of house - Chicago, Illinois.
An apprenticeship with a powerful House shaman on Chicago's Southside was the ultimate test of spirit and will.
Hundreds of test tracks later, Ricardo's first production is released to the world on legendary label Masters At Work.
Ricardo Miranda continues to be a cultural instrument for underground music with very deep origins from inside the soul."
His style? You can call it the art of housin' - without housin'...................................Transformation. | |
